A Broad Stimulating Curriculum and Learning Experience leading to Independent Living and Employability

The curriculum at Lansdowne School is based on four individual learning pathways, which allow our young people to access the National Curriculum.  We offer a broad and balanced curriculum across KS3-4 covering:

    • English
    • Mathematics
    • Science
    • Humanities
    • Art
    • Physical Education
    • Food Technology
    • Guided Reading
    • Personal and Social Development
    • Life-skills
    • Computing
    • Music experience

Our curriculum aims to build skills and advance knowledge in a sequential way, with an emphasis on practical and community based learning, allowing our young people to gain lifelong leisure and independent living skills.

Students are offered the opportunity to make choices and develop thinking skills in Key Stage 3, so they are able to successfully access national accreditation in Key stages 4 and 5 in line with individual pathways.
