Post 16

These final two years at the school prepare our students for their next stage of learning.

Students going into Post 16 continue to develop and consolidate the skills and knowledge accrued in Key Stage 4.  For many this means working towards further accreditation in English, Mathematic, Art and Food Technology, as well as courses working towards independence and employability, such ASDAN Personal and Social Development and employability.

Students continue college placements at Roots and Shoots, New Start and most recently Lambeth College Taster Days, where students will gain an overview of construction, ICT, cooking and art over the course of a term.

Work experience prepares students for employability, not just through individualised work experience placements, but also by providing the knowledge for them to make informed choices about their future, such as the annual transitions and careers fair and Level 6 careers advisor who meets with students and parents to discuss their skills, interests and options for the future, with a tailored action plan following the meeting.
