Students were given the opportunity to travel on a red London double decker bus, and receive advice on how to use the transport network safely and confidently.

We were given a talk on various safety aspects, and got to meet the driver, a ticket inspector, and some police officers.

There were some plain clothes police officers who role played some different scenarios – including someone stealing a phone, someone being drunk, and a stranger approaching us on the street.

We were taken by surprise - especially by the woman on the street! - but we learned a lot about how to keep safe on and around public transport.

There are two more ‘Bus days’ coming up in March and April where two further groups will get the same opportunity.
