At Lansdowne we use the White Rose programme as the base of our mathematics curriculum.  All students build and consolidate their knowledge of place value, addition and subtraction and shape. They continue to build on these concepts to understand multiplication & division, fractions and measurement, moving on to gaining an understanding of decimals & percentages, statistics, volume, perimeter and simple algebra.

A solid understanding of these concepts support our young people to gain national accreditation and apply what they know to life skills such as telling the time, using money and travel.

All mathematical areas are taught in small steps and reflect the students individual learning pathways.
